Frequently asked questions

VINYL WRAPS

How long do wraps last?

The average full vehicle wrap in our climate lasts for 4-6 years. At this point, UV deterioration can start to fade the wrap and will require removal. Proper maintenance and upkeep will help sustain the longevity of your wrap!

How do you get no bubbles?

Patience, experience, and talent! The films we use are top of the line cast wrap films with built in air-release technology that also helps us make it look easy.

Does my paint need to be perfect for a wrap?

Anything you can feel will be seen through the wrap. Minor chips can be filled and sanded smooth, however once unwrapped the panel will either need to be repainted or rewrapped again. If a car requires major bodywork, wrap may not be the best solution for you. Please see our Vinyl Wrap service page for more information.

How can I keep my wrap looking great?

Regular washing and exterior maintenance is required to keep your wrap looking good for years to come. We sell all the detail products required in our shop! Storing the vehicle indoors or under a carport when not in use can help extend the life of the wrap.

Can I ceramic coat a wrap?

Yes, we highly recommend having your wrap ceramic coated to extend the life of the wrap and help keep it clean!

My car is ceramic coated, can I still wrap it?

A ceramic coating makes it extremely difficult for anything to stick to your car paint, and the adhesive in our wrap is no different. We need to polish off the ceramic coating prior to a wrap in order to ensure proper adhesion between the wrap and your paint. You can then ceramic coat your new wrap.

Film Warranty?

The life expectency of a wrap can last up to 7 years. Manufature warranty timelines range from 1 to 3 years for Avery Dennison and 3M vinyl. Horizontal panels (i.e hood, roof, top of trunk) are more prone to sun and UV exposure and may fade faster than all vertical panels.

With Avery Dennison and 3M, typical expected outdoor performance is 7 years. There is a 3 year vertical and 1 year horizontal warranty period on all colors.

Ceramic Coatings and regular ceramic spray top-up waxing will help sustain the longevity of your wrap to it’s full potential. Also, parking in shade, a tent, a garage and maintaining regular washes and waxing will all help sustain your wrap for longer.

Can I put PPF over my wrap?

Yes! Much like a paint job, overtime your wrap can get chipped or scratched. Paint protection film can be applied to avoid this from happening. PPF will also help sustain the longevity of your wrap and protect it from excessive UV and sun exposure that may cause fading over the years!

Can I use any waxes on my wrap?

Absolutely, in fact we recommend it. Taking care of your wrap by washing and waxing it will keep it looking better for longer. Using safe waxes with no abrasives  maintain your wrap for longer and protect against sun fading from UV exposure.

Can you wrap over clear-coat peeling?

We do not wrap over major clear coat peeling or other paint issues. Minor things can be fixed by a body shop before a wrap, however if there is heavy clearcoat peeling on your vehicle we recommend having it painted!

Will removing the wrap damage my paint?

We only use quality materials that are designed to be removed without risk of damaging original paint. Please note there is a higher chance of paint damage when wrap has been applied to repainted or repaired areas.

Installation Warranty?

We warranty our installation for 1 year starting from the date of pick up. Our installation warranty covers any issues that may occur on the wrap that are due to installation error.

Are there finishes other than gloss?

How is the film self healing?

The self-healing clear coat of our ULTIMATE PLUS and STEALTH films is designed to repair itself from swirl marks and light scratches from car washes, etc. If a piece of debris has penetrated all the way through the clear coat on the film, it will not self-heal. The only way to fix this would be to have the piece of film replaced.
